Ability Levels

The Portes du Soleil is the largest, internationally linked ski area in the world!

Featuring 13 resorts in two countries and more than 650km of well-groomed piste. The lift systems are practical and convenient, the queues minimal and the slopes are generally uncrowded.

From the centre of Les Gets the Chavannes lift will quickly transport you into the heart of the region where you can have a coffee in Morzine (France), lunch in Champery (Switzerland) and stop for a final refreshment at Rosettas back in Les Gets before the final run back to the resort!

For those staying at Chalet Tavernier in Morzine, you can take the Prodain Express and link in to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil within minutes.

It’s worth mentioning that on a seven-day holiday it is possible to ski in a different region every day!

Advanced Skiers

For advanced skiers, Les Gets offers exciting off-piste possibilities in the Chamoissiere and Nyon areas as well as a number of challenging black runs including the Yeti mogul field.

For the ultimate experience the famous Avoriaz Wall is hair-raising at the best of times and in certain conditions is considered one of the most challenging runs in Europe!

The couloirs of Prodains and Champery are stunning and not to be missed. Our favourite Les Gets run is the Chamossiere black under the chair lift where new powder is often waist deep.

Beginners are equally well catered for, the slopes of Les Gets, Avoriaz and Morzine offer beautifully groomed tree lined runs ideal for all levels of skier.

On the Les Gets nursery slope confidence can be gained before progression to the gentle green and blue runs higher up the mountain. Learning in Les Gets is both challenging and great fun.

We are very happy to pre-book ski school lessons for our clients. Click here for more details.
