There are a number of excellent restaurants to choose from in the mountains of the Portes du Soleil and in Les Gets village. Outlined below are some of our favourites, which we consider to be the best for quality and price.

This restaurant makes a great pit stop for a quick snack and they have lots of sun chairs to take a break in. Serving traditional gourmet French cuisine, snacks and drinks, this place gets really busy at lunch time, so you really do need to book ahead.
Mid Station – Les Chavannes
There are at least 5 choices of restaurant at mid-station, two of which offer self-service lunches.
La Croix Blanche
For an à la carte lunch, we can recommend La Croix Blanche just on the left of the exit to the Cable Car Station. Reservations required in high season.
Le Grand Cry
Another of our recommendations for an à la carte lunch at Mid Station, on the left of the exit to the Cable Car Station.

“Great food, great portion size, great value! This is probably the best lunch I have had on the mountain. It is located at the bottom of the Prodains Express lift, so you’ll need to plan the morning to end there for lunch. but it is well worth it. Three friends and I had a great meal, the portions are generous and food of good quality. It is by far the best value ski in/ski out restaurant I have visited. I will be going back!”
Hotel Les Prodains
“Located 100 meters just off the piste to the Prodains Express. Good varied Savoyard menu with risotto and pasta also good. Good coffee.”
“We have enjoyed the restaurant at this hotel, which is in Morzine-Avoriaz. Great location and an admirable choice for lunch and dinner! The tartiflette was great, steak was admirable, place is charming and service was great. Tartiflette was probably the best we have ever eaten! Superb”
